GREENVILLE, S.C. – During the Thanksgiving holiday, Miracle Hill Ministries was the grateful recipient of $15,000 in renovations to one of their transitional housing facilities in Greenville. Total Comfort Solutions, a state wide specialist in mechanical HVAC solutions and the only South Carolina member of the Linc service contractor network, selected the nonprofit as their charity for the 2010 Upstate Community Project.

“Both organizations are excited about the impact the project will have to the facility and the chance to come together during this holiday season to continue to improve the lives of others,” said Paul Springett, General Manager of Total Comfort Solutions.

Over twenty employees from Total Comfort Solutions volunteered their time and expertise to complete the project. The work included replacing the heating and air conditioning system, landscaping, and painting. The company also provided new doors, a picnic table and a park bench.

The completed project will significantly improve the comfort levels of the occupants, upgrade the surrounding appearance of the facility, and reduce the ongoing operating expenses as a result of the high energy efficiency achieved with the installation of the new equipment.

“The energy savings and reduction of maintenance costs from this generous gift will be significant,” said Reid Lehman, President/CEO of Miracle Hill Ministries. “Equally significant is the impact of this investment in encouraging the men served in this facility through enhanced and attractive surroundings and through knowing that others care.”

Located at #8 Cyrus Court in Greenville, the transitional housing facility serves as a temporary home for graduates of Miracle Hill Ministries’ Overcomers addiction recovery program for men. Several graduates live together in the house and begin their reintroduction to employment and social life, having recently completed the residential recovery program at a separate facility, now located in the newly renovated, former monastery of the Order of Poor Clare.
